July Programming Notes

          We have just finished up our newest cycle of Front Squats, Military Press, and Deadlift and will be moving into a different program. While our last cycle focused around the 5x5 for major lifts we will be using Wendler's 531 program for a couple cycles. In order to not sacrifice our Military Press for our Bench Press, we will be using a staggered weight lifting rotation. More to come in our Programming Group on Facebook as we begin. Very excited to see the results that will come on the end of our upcoming cycles.

So how did you find out about BellHaus and what brought you over here?
I had been searching for ways to supplement my work-out routine with strength elements, and targeted Facebook advertising works! I saw the intro events at BellHaus onine and decided to check out some classes. There is also a chance I thought I was going to WineHaus in Southside. I'm still wondering where that pinot gregio I ordered is...

Barring the ever popular Shakira, which songs do you really like to get you pumped up in the gym?
Fridays are reserved for 2000's Pop, but other artists include: Disturbed, Rev Theory, AC/DC, Skrillex, Backstreet Boys, Kendrick Lamar, Fall Out Boy, A Day to Remember, Petey Pablo, Volbeat.

What movement has been your favorite to do in the gym?
Turkish Get Ups, but I have a proclivity for deadlifts.

You definitely love cross training with all the workouts you do all over town. How do you think weight training has affected these workouts?
I definitely feel more powerful! It's more of a natural inclination to engage all of my muscles to drive harder/faster with less effort in every variety of workout.

What else do you do when not sweating it out at the gym?
Analyzing data, playing trivia, hiking, reading (books, articles, peer-reviewed studies, etc.), watching futbol and football, browsing instagram.


Community Spotlight: Night Riders

​          The Fort Worth Night Riders is basically a group of people that want to ride their bicycles around town in the evening. They meet up Wednesday and Sunday nights from 7-10 and ride around Fort Worth to various bars. If you are looking for a cool group of people to ride with, and maybe have a beer or two on the way, check these guys out!
